About 10 years ago builders of large motoryachts started turning the “wasted” space of the foredeck into an entertainment venue. One of the best executions of the concept, we think, is the foredeck of the new Monte Carlo Yachts 105. It provides an enormous entertainment venue, safely accessed while underway – at displacement speeds – thanks to high bulwarks and railings guarding the side decks. At anchor, with the addition of a white diaphanous awning, the deck would be fit for Cleopatra.
