The Neptunus 650 Flybridge is CE Certified to Category A – Ocean and is designed for ease of use as an owner/operated yacht. Top speed was about 30 knots in reasonably choppy conditions. But that is only part of the story.

Renaissance Prowler 42:
Evinrude Quad 300s on a Catamaran
The Renaissance Prowler 42 is a different kind of center console offshore machine. First she has a catamaran hull. The resulting reduced wetted surface and two narrow hulls allow her to go over 70 mph, according to the builder. Her transom is low, but because of the Evinrude E-TEC G2 engines which have a tilt up angle of 81-degrees she can keep her props and skeg out of the water when at rest.
The Prowler is a cat with a 12’ (3.66 m) beam, thus the wide separation between these two pairs of engines, and the leverage provided makes this boat easy to dock.

MLF Bass Pro Tour Report:
Ish Monroe Takes Lead in MLF Competition
On a day that had most competitors dressed as though they were going ice fishing in Minnesota rather than casting for bass in central Florida, Californian Ish Monroe took the lead, besting 39 other Group A bass anglers in the MLF inaugural tournament. The MLF Bass Pro Tour on the Kissimmee Chain produced some dramatic changes on the lower half of the winner board Thursday. The tournament is a made-for-TV event and the promoters were not disappointed in the action.

Greenline 40 Hybrid:
Underwater Gear Improves Efficiency, Comfort
This screen-grab of the Greenline 40 Hybrid shows the hull shape and the underwater appendages. Note the small rudder for reduced drag, and the bilge “wings” designed to act like stabilizers. Greenline says the benefits of this hull design are better seaworthiness, easier handling, less wake, and lower operating costs. The straight shaft drive is engineered to operate both with conventional twin diesels and with a pair of 10 kW electric motors powered by large lithium-ion batteries.

TAHOE® 1950:
Deckboat w/ Functional Bow Deck
The TAHOE® 1950, unlike most deckboats, has a broad casting deck covered in non-skid on the bow. The anchor locker, in the center, has a hanger to secure the anchor, and there is a center line cleat for the rode – something we usually don’t see on far more expensive boats. The four-step beach boarding ladder is slightly offset to starboard and can also be used to easily access the boat when she’s on the optional trailer. The bow is pre-wired for a trolling motor, and a livewell is just behind in the 2019 model. All hardware is recessed to prevent tripping.

The whole top of the unit folds down to form an attractive countertop for beverages and finger food when entertaining.
