A Seat with a View/Quick Access to Rods
The mezzanine is an important perch in any offshore trolling boat and the Hatteras GT54 offers a classic design. The elevated seating provides a good view of the baits being trolled and two-second access to the rods when a fish is on. Under the seating, owners can have almost anything they want installed including bait freezers, cold plates, insulated ice chests or storage. The starboard end of this seat flips up to provide entry to the engine room. A mounting plate is laminated into the sole for an aftermarket fighting chair and there is adequate clearance for mates to pass from side to side and guide the chair in the heat of action. In-deck, twin fishboxes handle the catch and a re-circulating livewell in the transom holds the bait.
