Ranger Boats Z519L:
Storage Galore Plus Tournament-Class Speed
The Ranger Z519L is loaded with storage, including a 97.5” (247.65 cm) center rod locker and a second rod locker to port, both with tubes to protect tips. A power venting system prevents mildew in these compartments, an unusual feature in bass boats. There are bungee-type tie-downs on deck so that anglers can strap down their working rods, those they’re actively fishing, while running from spot to spot at 70 mph—which this boat can do, thanks to power from a Mercury 225 FourStroke V8. All storage compartments have locking latches, and all hatch lids have gas struts to keep them up when desired.

VHF Communication & AIS Functionality
in One Box:
B&G V60 VHF
B&G is looking out for sailors on midsize cruising sailboats with the V60 VHF in several ways. First, it’s a powerful fixed-mount VHF with an ergonomic design that allows for smart installation: Because the wired mic can be connected via a remotely mounted plug, the control head can be positioned out of the way, yet communications can be kept within reach. Second, a built-in dual-channel AIS helps identify targets in the shipping channel with ease. Third, the V60 can support a base station to power a pair of wireless mics (sold separately), integrating comms for the entire crew.
Check out where it stands among the other fixed-mount VHF units on the BoatTEST.com comparison grid here.

Riviera 72 Sports Motor Yacht:
Multi-Mission Cruiser w/Extended Range
The mission of the Riviera 72 Sports Motor Yacht is to be a no-compromise vessel for several major missions: Sportfishing, casual coastal cruising, watersports such as scuba diving, world cruising, and entertaining day-boat style. Because of her generous standard fuel tankage of 2,378 gallons (9,002 L) with 396 gallons (1,499 L) extra available as an option, the total of 2,774 gallons (10,501 L) gives her over 3,000 nm range at displacement speeds with a 10% reserve. Her top speed of 33.7 knots can bring her to port rapidly when bad weather threatens. Her robust build makes her a world cruiser that is a match for specialty designs intended for just that specific purpose.

Glastron GTD 180:
Entry Level Deck w/Solid Warranty Program
The Glastron GTD 180 is a competitively-priced deckboat that includes power options from Evinrude, Mercury or Yamaha plus a single-axle trailer in a turnkey package. Though she’s relatively affordable, the company provides a solid warranty program. There’s a three-year warranty on most of the boat’s components and a lifetime warranty on the hull, transferrable to a second owner. She also has a prorated five-year warranty against osmotic hull blistering. Glastron uses a barrier coat of vinyl ester resin, so hull blistering should be rare. The trailer has a one-year warranty and the outboard engine warranty depends on the maker’s policy – most offer three years, Evinrude offers five.
