Axopar 28 Cabin:
Enclosed Cabin Center Console
The Axopar 28 Cabin is an innovative, enclosed cabin center console design that features an ax bow and extremely sharp forward entry tapering to a double-stepped hull aft. She delivered a very impressive ride in our test runs, leaping through 4' to 6' (1.2 to 1.8 m) seas on full plane with no problems. The oversized wraparound windshield gives a wide-open view forward for the helmsman. Standard wipers and a brow overhang help to handle spray. Smart use of space fits a sink under the flip-up helm seats and storage into every inch of room behind bulwarks, in the console and under the decking. Cabin seating can convert to a double bunk for overnights and there's an aft cabin extension option that creates even more space for weekending, camper style.

Boston Whaler 345 Conquest:
Mini Battlewagon w/Outboards
The Boston Whaler 345 Conquest is a serious bluewater fishing boat with all of the amenities an experienced, downwardly mobile owner/angler is likely to ask for. Gone are the paid captain, high insurance bills, deadly docking fees, and 150 gph runs. She’s seaworthy enough to allow fishing in the same conditions as the 50’ (15.2 m) battlewagon, but she’ll get to the canyons and back in half the time, or better. Top speed is 50.0 mph in our tests, powered with triple Mercury Verado 300s. She also puts the fun back into boating. Interior features such as the dinette that converts to a double berth at the touch of a button make her easy to live with when overnighting — she can sleep up to six.

REGENCY 254 LE3 Sport:
High-Performance Tri-toon for Inland Lakes
The REGENCY 254 LE3 Sport is an upscale pontoon boat with a performance that’s a match for many bowriders. Powered with a Mercury 350 Verado, she went from 0 to 30 mph in just over 7 seconds and had a top speed of 48.7 mph. Note that this is for a boat that welcomes up to 12 guests at party time. She could also function as a spacious platform for watersports with two luxurious aft-facing chaises, ideal spots to keep an eye on those in the water. The elevated helm and captain’s seat give the skipper a view over the heads of those relaxing on the twin lounges up front.

Formula 350 Sun Sport:
Dayboat with Panache
The Formula 350 Sun Sport is an upscale dayboat that delivers on performance. With twin MerCruiser 8.2 MAG HO engines with Bravo Three drives, she hit a top speed of 53.2 mph (46.3 knots) during our testing. When the time comes to pull into a quiet cove for the night, there is sleeping capacity for four in the mid-cabin and on the convertible berth in the bow. To facilitate slow-speed maneuvering when docking, Mercury’s Joystick Piloting System is installed as standard equipment and Livorsi stainless-steel throttle/shift controls, seen here, are an available option to add a racy look.

Cruisers Yachts 60 Fly:
Flybridge Ready to Entertain or Cruise
The Cruisers Yachts 60 Fly is a lot more than an express with a flybridge mounted on top. The bridge area includes large sun lounges forward of the central helm, as seen here, giving the best view on the yacht while underway. Aft of the center-mounted helm is an outdoor galley, complete with a grill and slide-out refrigerator door, sink, icemaker, and cooler compartment. A table is just behind, surrounded by a U-shaped lounge. Much of this area is protected by the standard hardtop — only the sun lounges, forward, are exposed to full sun.
