Rinker 270 EX:
Trailerable Express Sleeps 4
The Rinker 270 EX is a big boat for trailering with a 28’10” (8.78 m) LOA and a weight of over 7,000 lbs. (3,175 kg) dry. With today’s full-sized trucks and multi-axle trailers to handle the over-the-road duties, she makes it possible for the family to visit distant waterways and in effect use her as a camper on the water. She has an electric cooktop, sink, and a 2-cubic-foot (.056 cu. m) refrigerator as well as a microwave in the galley. The dining table seats four and seating here converts quickly to sleep two. The wet head is just to starboard, while amidships is a sleeping cabin large enough for two adults. There’s an added dining area in the cockpit, along with a second sink and cooler storage.

Formula 430 All Sport Crossover:
Day Boat for All Reasons
The Formula 430 All Sport Crossover is designed to be a multi-mission day boat, but the transom area is made for offshore fishing, as well as launching watersports of all kinds. The extended 50-sq.-ft. (4.65 sq. m) swim platform is remarkably functional. There are multiple rod holders and a padded rail just ahead of the outboards, retractable safety rails on each side, dedicated storage for multiple gaffs and a flip-down, aft-facing jump seat for watching the rods. The 52-gallon (197 L) livewell, one of the largest in class, is on the transom and it is deep enough to accommodate four dive tanks when that’s the mission of the day. Just ahead to starboard, the bait prep and tackle station has a removable cutting board, a freshwater sink, a paper towel holder, raw water washdown hose, tackle drawer, and space for a 5-gallon (19 L) bucket in the base.

Trans-Atlantic Voyage in a Hatteras GT63
Last July, the Hatteras GT63 Post One traveled from St. George's Harbor in Bermuda to Horta Marina in Faial, Azores — a nine-day, 1,800-nautical mile run across the Atlantic Ocean. She is one of the first sportfishing boats to complete the journey on her own bottom, with assistance from the 147’ (44.8 m) mothership Dorothea III. It is one of the few times that a convertible has crossed the Atlantic on her own bottom. BENETEAU Oceanis 41.1:
Easy Handling Under Power & Under Sail
The Oceanis 41.1 has all of the outstanding features for short-handed sailing we’ve come to expect from BENETEAU. But, just as importantly, her design and gear make it easy to get into and out of the harbor. She is equipped with a 45-hp Yanmar diesel with a 3-blade folding prop plus an electric bow thruster that combine to make it simple to get her off the dock despite an opposing wind on test day. She also turned easily under power thanks to the large spade rudder positioned well aft. Once underway, she ran at about 6.5 knots at 85% throttle.

Sailfish 290 CC:
58.6 MPH WOT x/2x Mercury 300s
The Sailfish 290 CC has everything the offshore angler could ask for, including an impressive 47.5" (120. 65 cm) freeboard forward. She has the speed to get to the fish fast when conditions allow, turning loose the twin 300 Mercury Verados on the transom. She topped out at 58.0 mph in our tests. Slow her down to a cruise of 26.8 mph and she has a very long reach – approximately 368 statute miles with a 10% fuel reserve. She has a standard 30-gallon (113.6 L) livewell at the starboard transom and multiple insulated fishboxes, all with overboard drains. The area behind the helm seat included a 35-gallon (132.5 L) livewell to starboard and a bait prep sink and two tackle drawers on the port side.
