Chaparral 277 SSX

The 277 SSX is an example of a boat that was designed by people who had a clear understanding of what their customers want in a bowrider/day boat. The aft bench and generous cockpit seating make it easy to entertain a crowd and the large swim platform provides a functional place for participating in watersports. Throughout the boat, some of the deepest freeboard in class enhances security. The proven Extended V-Plane bottom design provides a superlative ride and predictably smooth handling at any speed. Tiara Sport 38 LS:

Outboard-Powered BR w/ Inboard Torque

tiara-38ls-062220.png

Twin Seven Marine 527-hp outboards are all the power the 38 LS needs.

When Tiara Yachts made the move to outboards with its Tiara Sport series, one of the things that its customers said they wanted was the docking ability of the torquier inboards they were used to. Tiara Sports teamed up with Seven Marine and its parent corporation Volvo Penta to put Duoprop lower units on 527-hp outboards and voila, the 38 LS had the response around the docks. The collaboration also gave the boat joystick controls and the Volvo Penta Glass Cockpit helm and all the benefits that come with it. More...

Formula 310 Bowrider

The flagship of Formula’s Bowrider series, the 310 has been upgraded. Owners can now choose between outboard or sterndrive power and a fiberglass hardtop is among the available options. The Formula Flex customization program lets customers create a one-of-a-kind boat with options like painting the outboards to match the hullside graphics, select different upholstery colors and patterns, dashboard layout, and many other things. Luxurious refinements are evident throughout the boat and what would be the engine compartment in the sterndrive version becomes a huge storage compartment in the outboard version. More...

Hinckley Yachts Picnic Boat 37 MKIII:

The Evolution of a Revolution

hinckley-37-062220.jpg

Hinckley Yachts Picnic Boat 37 MKIII

It’s been 25 years since Hinckley unveiled the original “Picnic Boat.” It was a mini revolution, a Downeast-style yacht that paired a jet drive and a joystick with the classic Hinckley interior and styling. It became the preferred boat of an elite clientele, including Martha Stewart and many of the fourth generation of household names of Northeastern industrialists and financiers that we have all grown up to revere. The design was so compelling that in a short time, other builders were launching boats that they called “Picnic Boats” – but Hinckley took umbrage in the courts, which ruled that the appellation could be only applied to its vessels. Fast forward to the current day’s version and we find that she is still decked out in shimmering teak, and exudes the supple curves and lines that signal class, and one of the finest builds on the water The 370-hp Yanmar-powered jet give her a 35-mph top speed with a cruise of 32, according to the builder.
