Donzi 41 GT:
81-MPH WOT in our Tests
The Donzi 41 GT was the first in a new series of upscale luxury boats from Iconic Marine. If our test is any indication of things to come, new models will be fast and luxurious. She’s designed with a cockpit that’s more versatile than a typical narrow V-bottom, with sunning, entertaining and watersports venues in a creative layout. She has a twin-stepped hull and available outboard power to please performance junkies. Rear-facing chaise-style lounges can be occupied when the boat is underway. Belowdecks, the cabin is designed for day boating and would be more for escaping weather, or an afternoon nap, rather than overnighting. More...

Fleming 78:
Trans-Oceanic Range in the Flagship
The Fleming 78 measures 81’6” (23.66 m) with a 21’5” (6.53 m) beam and when fully loaded, she displaces 197,800 lbs. (89,721 kg). The flagship of the Fleming line is designed for one purpose – long-range cruising with more versatility than a traditional trawler. She’s a redesign of the Fleming 75 and the builder says her added waterline length and optional bulbous bow reduce fuel consumption and increase range by 500 nautical miles (926 km). She can run 2,000 nautical miles (3,704 km) at 10 knots, but unlike a trawler, she can hit speeds exceeding 23 knots when necessary. More...

The large private head compartment, the hand-sewn upholstery, and a laundry list of amenities put her in a class of her own. More...

The Benefits of Jackplates
The ultimate weapon for anglers who like to fish the shallows could be a hydraulic jackplate.
Whether they’re used by flats fishermen to go after tarpon or bass anglers to outrun the other guys to the best spots on the lake, jackplates have evolved into some of the most vital equipment on today’s serious fishing boats. They’re available in hydraulic models that raise and lower with the push of a button or manual versions that take more of a set and leave-it approach. Either way, they can make a boat more versatile.
