Grand Banks 60:

Secure Long-Range Motoryacht

grandbanks-60-042020.png

The Grand Banks 60’s side decks are secure and protected.

Grand Banks knows that time on the water isn’t always spent in perfect conditions so the manufacturer makes sure that crew can still move about on its new 65’4” (19.9 m) yacht. Side decks are 20” (50.8 cm) wide with bulwarks that top out at 20” (50.8) tall with stainless rails above them that exceed ABYC height standards and they run all the way to the bow. Above the side decks, the passageways are protected by an overhang that extends 26” (66.04 cm) out from the pilothouse. The new Grand Banks 60 is the vessel many fans of the brand have been waiting decades for, and once they see it, we don’t think they will be disappointed. More...

Tiara Sport 38 LS:

Outboard Efficiency with Inboard Torque

tiarasport-38ls_042020.png

Tiara Sport 38 LS

The Tiara Sport 38 LS is the result of a collaboration among Tiara Yachts, Seven Marine and Volvo Penta. When Tiara decided to get into the outboard segment, the manufacturer wanted to give its customers who were used to inboards the same power and feel when maneuvering their boats around the docks. The result was two 527-hp Seven Marine motors equipped with Volvo Penta Duoprop drives. Having six propeller blades per motor provided instant response. Plus, the Volvo Penta joystick put all the control at the captain’s fingertips. Around the docks, in 15- to 20-knot crosswinds, we put the boat wherever we wanted with just the joystick, without having to touch the bow thruster. More...

Formula 37 Performance Cruiser:

Express Cruiser w/Gas or Diesel Engines

formula_37pc_042020.png

Formula 37 Performance Cruiser

The 37 Performance Cruiser has been a stalwart in the Formula line for years, and in this age of sheltering together, she makes a fine vessel for extended cruises, as well as weekending. An owner can choose among twin gasoline stern drives from MerCruiser or twin diesel stern drives or IPS pods from Volvo Penta. A buyer can save more than $100,000 on the retail price by choosing twin 380-hp MerCruiser Bravo Three sterndrives and just over $90,000 when selecting twin 430-hp versions compared to diesels. All the power options have joystick operation. The 37 PC comes with the amenities and attention to detail for which Formula is known. More...

Nordhavn N60:

More Room on Deck + 1/3 Knot

nordhavn-n60_042020.png

Nordhavn N60

The Nordhavn N60 has the same interior as the N55, but the manufacturer of long-range expedition yachts extended the vessel’s cockpit and lazarette by 5’ (1.5 m). This provides more space for activities like diving and fishing as well as for entertaining, plus creates more storage space below. It also allows the boat deck to be extended. Our test model carried a 14’ (4.27 m) Novurania RIB and a 16’ (4.88 m) Twin Vee cat. She was also equipped with kayak and paddleboard racks. On the water, Nordhavn says the extra length is good for about a third of a knot because of the extended waterline. More...

Large, Luxurious Surf Boat

mastercraft-x26.jpg

MasterCraft X26

The new MasterCraft X26 is at the very pinnacle of vessels in the wakeboat class. She is “Yacht Certified,” which is an ABYC appellation that means she is not limited in the number of passengers that can be carried, within reason. She is designed to appeal to wake enthusiasts who want the very best in luxury amenities, technology, and high-wake-making ability. Her port-side passageway leads to a more spacious bow than the previous X26 had – and permits an electric head with adult sitting headroom. Standard equipment on the new version includes a Dometic refrigerator drawer and there are myriad seating configurations for the cockpit. More...
