NBA legend Michael Jordan owns an 80’ Viking Convertible.

NBA Legend Michael Jordan’s 80’ Viking convertible Catch23 reeled in a 442.3-lb. (200.67 kg) marlin in the annual Big Rock Fishing Tournament in Moorehead City, N.C., on Monday. This was the first time Jordan, who owns the Charlotte Hornets NBA franchise, has entered the non-profit tournament that raises money for local charities. He also is the proud owner of a 230’ (70.1 m) superyacht. Jordan didn’t win the tournament, but the billionaire didn’t seem to mind. More...

Nitro Z20:

Bass Boat Designed for Optimum Performance

nitro-z20-060820.png

Nitro’s Z20 rides on the Nitro Vortex Technology bottom.

For the Nitro Vortex Technology (NVT) bottom design, engineers developed “organic parabolic strakes.” They say parabolic shapes are stronger than flat or angled surfaces, provide less resistance and truer high-speed tracking. When NVT is combined with Nitro’s Rapid Planing System (RPS), the centerline keel pad, she gets on plane quickly, is more efficient and faster. With a 250-hp Mercury four-stroke outboard, our test boat planed in 3.8 seconds and hit a stop speed of 76.6 mph at 6200 rpm. More...

Leopard 43 PC:

Power Cat for Charter or Cruising

leopard-43-060820.png

The full-width stainless-steel frame window integrates so cleanly into the salon bulkhead, it would be easy to miss it altogether.

One of the many features on the Leopard 43 PC that make the catamaran so good for charter island hopping or private cruising is the replacing of the upper half of the salon aft bulkhead with a stainless-steel frame that houses a sliding window. It fully opens the passage to the cockpit, making the boat feel much open More...

MasterCraft XT23:

Premium Upholstery Work Creates Luxury

mastercraft-xt23-060820.png

We can’t recall a more comfortable seatback than on the MasterCraft XT23.

For many years, two people — the driver and the observer — got the designers’ attention when it came to making inboard-powered towsports boats comfortable. With the XT23, MasterCraft focused on all the passengers. A case in point is the contoured backrests for the aft corners of the bench seat. Their curvature and thick padding will accommodate passengers regardless of riding position. Note the world-class stitching. More...

Cruisers Yachts 54 Cantius:

An Accommodating Express Yacht

cruisers-54cantius-060820.png

The headroom in the 54 Cantius’ master stateroom gives the quarters a large feel.

With the 54 Cantius, Cruisers Yachts looks like a yacht from the Italian Riviera both inside and out, instead of one built in Oconto, Wisconsin. But where this yacht departs from European vessels is in her ergonomics, rugged build, and function. She’s designed for Americans who like to go cruising, as well as entertain. She has three staterooms, which makes her attractive for two couples or a family who like to take extended cruises. The kids, or grandkids, will love the third cabin. On the main deck, she also has two gathering areas on each side of the galley. More...

How to Reduce the Pain of Depreciation

regal-29obx-060820.png

Regal 29 OBX

Depreciation is the costliest aspect of boat ownership, just as it is for automobiles. Over the course of 5 years, new boat depreciation is typically on the order of 50% for most boats. But, like automobiles, there is now a way to mitigate the problem -- lease your boat to other like-minded people on those days it’s not in use. LEASING will market, manage and maintain your boat in a turnkey package that lets you use your boat, and earn income, too. For more information, contact general manager Greg Sweeney at (727) 200-3474 | gsweeney@BoattestLEASING.com or visit our website.
