Princess F62:

Salon w/”Walls” of Glass

princess-f62-081720.png

The salon windows extend below the back of the F62’s furniture, bringing the outside in.

The Princess Yachts F62 replaces two previous models, the 60 and the 64. Her interior volume is increased by 10% compared to the 60, but she also comes within 3% of the 64. A design element that accentuates this volume is the generous use of windows in the salon that let natural light pour in. Our test captain referred to them as “walls of glass.” The transition to the cockpit is a seamless one thanks to hideaway doors and windows. Belowdecks, she has accommodations for six and all the cabins have en suite heads. More...

BoattestLEASING

Do You Drive a Leased Car?

leased-car-080320.png

70% of the Mercedes, BMW and Lexus automobiles on the road are leased, and for good reason – they are expensive and depreciate rapidly. Likewise, boat leasing – or boat chartering – makes more sense for many people than buying new – less cash down, lower monthly payment, no depreciation, no warranty concerns, and someone else taking care of the maintenance. Now we have a Pursuit DC266 available for this Fall and Winter charters or leasing in the Tampa-St. Pete area. Let us explain why boat leasing or chartering is the wave of the future, contact Greg Sweeney at (727) 200-3474 | gsweeney@BoattestLEASING.com.

Galeon 470 Sky:

3 Cockpit Layouts w/“Beach Mode”

galeon-470sky-081720.png

The optional “Beach Mode” includes two stools to port and an opening window and gunwale section that creates an al fresca bar.

Galeon’s 470 Sky has a full flying bridge that can be covered with canvas to give the boat a coupe-like, or express-yacht appearance. The optional Beach Mode has fold-out bulwarks on both sides of the cockpit that expand the beam from 14’4” (4.37 m) to 18’7” (5.66 m) and to port, Galeon adds a pair of barstools. A window links the galley to the port-side “beach” side to the galley. The manufacturer offers three different cockpit layouts including a roto-seat. The bow has a U-shaped seating area with removable backrests and a pedestal-mounted table. More...

Yamaha 195 FSH Sport:

Improved Steering/Easy Weed Cleaning

yamaha-195fsh-081720.png

The 195 FSH Sport’s handling is improved by the articulating keel.

To improve the handling of its 195 FSH Sport and all of its jet boats, Yamaha developed a patented, articulating keel that extends aft past the boat’s transom beneath the jet pump bucket. It acts like a rudder and improves the boat’s turning characteristics. Because jet propulsion systems suck in seaweed, grass and other debris, Yamaha also developed and patented a way to easily clean it out. More...

Nitro Z21:

Designed for Holeshot

nitro-z21-081720.jpg

Nitro Z21

One of the most important performance characteristics bass anglers look at is holeshot, and Nitro designed the Rapid Planing System into its flagship Z21. Where the bottom meets the transom, it’s stepped and has a flat pad to boost acceleration and keep the stern from dropping during a quick start. Our test boat was powered by a 250-hp Mercury 250 L OptiMax Pro XS with a Torque Master gearcase. She planed in 3.1 seconds and ran through 20 mph in 6 seconds and past 30 in 8.6 seconds. Nitro also says the design keeps water from washing over the stern when the boat slows down. More...
