Belize 66 Daybridge:
Exceptional Handling IPS Motoryacht
The Riviera Belize 66 Daybridge is a boutique vessel specially designed and built for the experienced motoryacht owner. She is built in Taiwan by a dedicated Riviera team that lavishes hundreds of man-hours on the construction and fine finish. There is nothing production-line about it, and each boat is built in its own bay, much like a semi-custom boat. Literally, no expense is spared in her build. Our test captain reports that she is one of the best-performing boats with Volvo Penta IPS pod propulsion that he’s driven, and has, he says, a sporty, responsive feel. The flying bridge, cockpit and salon are intended for entertaining crowds. Belowdecks, she can be arranged with three or four staterooms with a full-beam master. Throughout the motoryacht, extra attention is paid to the smallest details. More...
Aluminum fish models range from small jon boats with tiller outboards to fast bass boats to multi-species craft with higher freeboard, deep-V hulls and tall windshields to take on large lakes. While they are definitely fishing focused, manufacturers of aluminum fish boats are offering more family-friendly accessories like ski-tow pylons and cushions for the bow casting decks. VirtualBOATSHOW.com has more than 90 aluminum fishboats on display. To visit the boat show – admittance is free – click here...

Cruisers Yachts 38 GLS:
Luxury Crossover w/ Important Safety Feature
In a compartment on the port side of the transom of the 38 GLS from Cruisers Yachts, we found the shorepower cords, but we also discovered something else that the Wisconsin manufacturer put on the boat: Two Ground Fault Sensing modules. They are there to alert the owner/operator to potential electrical faults when he pulls into a transient marina and plugs into the shore power system. This is an important safety feature for boaters who cruise to new freshwater ports. The modules sense stray electrical current in the water that can lead to electric shock drowning. Overall, the 38 GLS is feature-rich and needs to be seen. More...

Sailfish 245 DC:
Dual Console For Family and Fishing
The Sailfish 245 DC is an example of the new breed of dual-console boats that offer more cruising features for when the fish aren’t biting. In the bow, backrests reclined on the console fronts create comfortable chaise-style lounges and an optional table enhances the area’s utility. In the cockpit, the backrest for the companion seat to port can be set in multiple positions for a variety of seating/lounging options and it has a built-in insulated cooler. Just ahead, the head compartment in the console has 4’6” (1.37 m) of headroom. Its freeboard is slightly higher than many boats in class. More...

Seakeeper 1:
Innovation Award Winner
The Seakeeper 1 is the smallest gyroscopic stabilizer available.
The Seakeeper 1 is the smallest in a long line of the company’s gyro-stabilizers. This unit brings anti-roll stabilization to boats as small as 23’ (7.01 m) long, which is the size where it is needed most. It runs on 12-volt DC power – no generator is needed – and its small envelope and flush-mount design mean that it can be installed nearly anywhere on a boat. It does not have to be installed on the centerline, which means it can be located nearly anywhere. These attributes impressed the judges in the Innovation Awards at last February’s Miami International Boat Show who named the Seakeeper 1 the winner in the Mechanical & Electrical Systems category. Every system and piece of equipment on a boat should be inspected prior to the season.

The best way to ensure that those hours are spent happily is to perform proper pre-season preparation. From engines to electrical equipment to plumbing and even cleaning, make a checklist so no steps are missed. More...

BoattestLEASING is now looking for late-model, premium boats from 26’ to 35’ (7.92 m to 10.66 m) to lease to like-minded boaters in the eastern U.S. Boat Leasing is now trending strongly, given the times we live in. Boats are a safe and healthy way for a family to have fun outside and at the same time maintain social distancing.
