Twin V12s, 56 MPH | Paint That Tells On A Boat | A Captain's Prop Math - 8/6/2026

MORE LIVING SPACE The Sirena 60 builds on the 58 with more usable outdoor living, a larger galley and a redesigned flybridge. A flexible beach club can serve as a crew cabin, day head, laundry or storage, while her semi-displacement hull offers long-range cruising with the option of higher speeds when needed.

56 MPH SLEEPER The Galeon 375 GTO blends dayboat speed with weekending capability. Convertible seating, opening side platforms, a bright cabin for four, and a cockpit that changes layout in seconds give her a broader range than most boats in this size. Twin Mercury V12 outboards delivered 56.3 mph during testing.

OFFSHORE READY Located in Palm City, Florida, this 2021 Boston Whaler 380 Outrage pairs quad Mercury 300-hp Verados with Joystick Piloting, Skyhook and a Seakeeper gyro. A fixed tower, air-conditioned helm and cabin, plus a summer kitchen, mean she's equipped for offshore fishing as well as relaxing at anchor.

BUILT TO ENTERTAIN Every Sovereign Boat Fleet boat, from the Robalo R317 pictured here to her Axopar and Pursuit fleetmates, pairs forward and aft seating with a table for entertaining. Each has an electric head and either a wet bar or a second sink console, with room for up to eight passengers.

BUSINESS DECISION For a charter operator, fuel comes straight off the bottom line. One captain explains why he chose a boat already fitted with Sharrow props, and what he noticed after putting them to work offshore, including less cavitation in hard turns, cleaner trolling wakes and lower fuel burn.

BUY SMARTER A used boat's engine bay can tell on itself. Mismatched paint shades around an engine often mean a repair happened there, whether the seller mentions it or not. A new guide covers which service records to ask for, how a purchase survey differs from an insurance renewal survey, and how to check hoses before signing anything.
