The debut of the 45 Carolinian will mark our seventh new model in an eight-year period,” says Albemarle General Manager Burch Perry. “Much like our 53 Spencer Edition, the 45 truly blurs the line between Custom Carolina and production builds.”

Perry said the Carolina-style design is unlike anything the company has built previously in terms of size, power, and layout.

“She will meet the needs of our existing Express boat customers looking to move up in size, and her Fish Around design will offer them increased fishability,” Perry said.

Classic Carolina Design

The 45 Carolinian hull has the characteristic look worthy of her name, with Carolina flare, tumblehome, and a soft broken sheer.

The hull is vacuum-infused with vinylester resin and composite core, making her incredibly strong, and the deck and additional fiberglass components were glassed together in line with Albemarle’s signature one-piece construction.

She boasts a unique layout that combines hardcore fishing features, abundant seating, and a surprisingly spacious and well-appointed interior for overnighting and extended cruising.

Powered by 1800 Horses

Triple 600 HP Mercury power provides fast cruising speeds, maneuverability, and shallow draft, while freeing up space in the hull to accommodate mechanical equipment and a truly livable interior.

She draws just 34” drive up, and with a 655-gallon fuel capacity is ready for fast trips well offshore as well as all-day trolling or a bit of island hopping.

Plush Interior Overnights 4

The interior features black walnut cabinetry, solid surface countertops, Ultraleather fabrics, and tracked Majilite headliner and wall panels.

The forward dinette converts to a double bunk, and filler cushions transform the U-shaped aft lounge into a queen berth. The port side galley features refrigerator and freezer drawers, recessed single burner stove top, microwave and stainless steel sink. An enclosed shower stall, sink, and marine head round out the list of necessities for comfortable overnights aboard.

The 45 Carolinian can be equipped with a tuna tower built to the customer’s specifications, like much else in this semi-custom design.

Fishing Extras Available

Hull one features a highly customized Palm Beach Towers half tower, and highlights include a rod storage box, recessed electric teaser reels, molded light bar, and GemLux Pro Carbon outriggers.

The helm deck is weather protected by a four-sided acrylic and polycarbonate enclosure, and a dedicated HVAC system maintains a comfortable temperature in this space.

There’s comfortable seating for six on the helm deck with a Release Marine Trillion teak triple ladderback bench at the helm and a bench seat forward of the console. A faux teak helm pod sets off the helm console and is complimented by a pair of 24” Garmin displays in the dash.

Battle Ready

The 98 square foot cockpit is designed for pelagic battle and is well equipped.

There is a standard 70 gallon transom livewell, a pair of massive in-deck fish boxes, and a starboard tuna door. The step to the mezzanine houses insulated boxes, which are set up as an Eskimo ice machine dump and bait freezer on the first 45.

The mezzanine seating provides a great place to watch baits, and it hinges open to provide access to the mechanical space. This creates great service access for the 13.5 KW Onan genset, Seakeeper 6, Spot Zero double pass water maker, and other onboard equipment.

“The 45 Carolinian is our most versatile design to date,” says Keith Privott, Albemarle director of sales and product development. “This boat combines incredible speed and performance, 360 degree fishability, a comfortable helm deck, and a functional interior for overnighting.”
