Boston Whaler 365 Conquest

The Boston Whaler 365 Conquest is at home chasing big fish offshore as she is for family outings and extended time away.

The main deck layout on the Boston Whaler 365 Conquest offers wide open spaces for both fishing action as well as entertaining family and guests. Of particular note is the starboard galley-up option.

Bow

Access to the bow area is from the cockpit via a pair of walkways to either side. The pathway measures 9” and with rail heights at 25”, and using grabs on the hardtop sides, a safe passage is provided going to and from the bow. Family and guests will enjoy the large sunpad forward.

For added safety, these full length grabs are located to either side of the sunpad cushion.

Fully foward is the offset anchor locker, anchor roller, and Quick windlass with remote. There is also a raw water spigot here for cleaning the anchor once it is up. Those two stainless rod holders to either side provide double duty for the front supports for the optional bow shade. The rear supports are located on the hardtop.

Helm Deck

Included in the long list of impressive options is this galley-up feature to starboard, sure to come in handy when traveling or gunkholing. Induction cook top, sink, cutting board, and refrigerator are part of the package. Note the sturdy rails for safe passage to and from.

The helm offers abundant console space for two 16- or 19” Simrad touchscreens where all tactile buttons, controls, joystick, VHF, and everything else necessary for safe operations is within easy reach and easy to read. Standard is the open windshield hardtop system with side and aft rigid Makrolon® polycarbonate weather enclosure with door to cockpit. The helm deck enclosure seen here includes front glass windshield, full height side glass with sliding port and starboard openings and full beam aft enclosure. Centered on top of the helm console and a pair of air conditioning vents.

The port dinette offers a hi-lo, leafed table and comfortable seating. At the push of a button, the table lowers, and with the filler cushions in place, becomes on on-deck berth. With the optional full enclosure, the space is a practical.

With the table leafed over, and the front seat flipped, transforms the space into a forward facing seating area. A large storage locker is located beneath the seat.

With the companion seat in the forward position, there is an optional 19" screen, mirroring all data from the main helm station. There is also a glove box with a pair of USB ports located here.

As well, the rear seat back can also flip forward allowing those seated here to have an aft view.

Up above there is a large hatch for additional air flow while underway or at anchor.

Living Accommodations

Accessed through a centered sliding door forward on the helm deck, the cabin, here seen with its hi-lo dining table in the up position, presents a light and airy feel thanks to the light colors and décor. Note the overhead hatch. The entrance has 6’9” of headroom dropping down to 6’5” as you move forward. There is a couch to port which can be optioned as a galley-down space.

With the push of a single button, the dining space easily converts to a large, comfortable island berth.

The main breaker panel is also located here, conveniently located in its own cabinet.

Moving aft in the main cabin offers entrance to the under-helm berth, here seen without the filler cushions. And as with for forward cabin, there is plenty of storage space for those times when travel is part of the plan.

Cockpit & Machinery Space

With her dual identity as both a capable cruiser and formidable fishing flatform, the fully bolstered cockpit on the Boston Whaler 365 Conquest has been well planned and laid-out for all the action which may come her way. It measures some 52.25 square feet, offering lots of space for when the action is hot and heavy. The depth here stands at 28” and the freeboard measures 38” at the stern.

The fish box to starboard measures 52" long and 16" deep and is double lined. A frost box system is also supplied to keep the catch chilled and fresh.

Located to starboard, the cockpit’s dive door has a dedicated storage space for the stainless ladder.

The transom offers an optional summer kitchen, here seen with the Kenyon stove top, sink, and cup holders. The pull out refrigerator is beneath the countertop. To port is the 19-gallon, pressurized livewell.

Stored in the hatch leading to the machinery space, is a table top and pedestals to transform the cockpit into an on-deck dining space.

The machinery space allows full access to all critical areas including batteries and battery switches, generator, gyro system, bilge pumps and strainers, and fire suppression system.

Along either side of the cockpit are these sturdy ladders, with rod holders, which allows access to the optional bridge deck.

A Word About Performance

You can use this Mercury-supplied graph to compare the engines used in their data collection. The test Boston Whaler 365 Conquest weighed in at 22,803 pounds and was equipped with triple 400-hp V-10 Mercury outboard engines with 39% of the 400-gallon fuel capacity and two passengers. The props were 22” Rev-X. Top speed, at 6400 rpm, was 55.7 mph, with a best cruise coming in at 36.8 mph at 4500 rpm. At the speed, she had a range of about 296 statute miles with a 10% fuel reserve. And she ran from idle to 30 mph in 8.8 seconds. She was exhilarating at straight runs at speed, handled tight turns and maneuvers with assurance, and was a dream to operate.
