MJM 38RS (2026-)

2 x 300-hp Mercury

Brief Summary

Introducing the New MJM 38RS: A Crossover for Cruising and Sportfishing

MJM Yachts has officially launched its newest model for 2026: the MJM 38RS, a versatile sportfishing/cruising crossover. Building on the popular MJM 38R cruiser, this new model adds a comprehensive fishing package, offering a seamless blend of performance, luxury, and functionality. Designed for families and avid anglers alike, the 38RS allows you to enjoy comfortable cruising with the flexibility to chase your next big catch.

The MJM 38RS maintains the brand's renowned performance hull, capable of speeds over 50 mph. Its C5® composite construction process ensures a highly efficient and stable ride, whether you're racing to a fishing spot or enjoying a leisurely cruise. Unlike traditional open-air fishing boats, the 38RS features a 360-degree pilothouse with large, sliding side windows, providing essential shelter from the elements without sacrificing your connection to the water. This thoughtful design ensures that everyone on board can stay comfortable, making it the ideal boat for extended trips or unpredictable weather.

Versatile Design and Angler-Focused Features

The spacious, uncluttered aft cockpit of the 38RS is a fisherman’s dream. Transom doors open flat against the gunwales, creating an expansive fishing platform that extends to the swim platform. A centrally located 40-gallon island live well, equipped with an 800-gph recirculating pump, is easily accessible without impeding movement. Beneath the cockpit sole, two insulated fish boxes provide ample storage for your catch.

"Many of our customers told us they love to cruise in their MJM 38R, but they also like to fish from its large cockpit when they reach their destination or on day trips in their home waters. So, in collaboration with Doug Zurn of Zurn Yacht Design, we created a new topsides layout for the yacht that adds the features owners need to take full advantage of the boat’s fishability," said Natascia Hatch, President and CEO of MJM Yachts.

Key Features:

  • Dual-Purpose Design: A perfect crossover for both serious sportfishing and comfortable family cruising.
  • Angler-Friendly Cockpit: An open aft cockpit with a 40-gallon live well, two insulated fish boxes, and numerous rod holders.
  • Galley-Up Layout: The new pilothouse layout includes a large sink and counter, making it easy to clean up after fishing.
  • Enhanced Comfort Below Deck: A new cabin layout features a dry head with a separate stand-alone shower, a large convertible V-berth, and upgraded fabrics.
  • Advanced Performance: Built with MJM's C5® composite construction, the 38RS boasts speeds over 50 mph and an optional Seakeeper 3 Gyro for stability.
