Regal 42 Sport Coupe (2014-)

Brief Summary

We woke up to rain and blowing winds on test day, and thought that surely Regal would cancel the test as well as the shoot. A glance at the offshore data buoys showed seas well over 5’ with a close fetch running against a fair tide. Not a time to show a boat’s best to be sure. To our surprise, however, when we showed up, Frank, Regal’s test captain was singling up the lines in preparation for our departure. Does Regal intend for me to report on rattling deck joints and a pounding hull? We sure can’t run at speeds to get any test numbers but I’ll sure be able to report on her rough weather handing.
