Regal LX43 layout

As this overhead schematic illustrates, the Regal LX43 has supplied optimum space in getting fore and aft with ease. In addition, with the aft terraces deployed, the beam there is dramatically enhanced. Also note the abundance of seating space and the access to and from the bow from the port side.

Bow

Innovation is key aboard the Regal LX43 and this is quite evident in the bow area where plentiful seating awaits as does large storage areas.

Regal LX43 bow with plenty of seating and storage beneath the seat cushions

Completely bolstered all around with plenty of seating and storage beneath the seat cushions, the space provided on the bow of the Regal LX43 sets the stage for the entire boat. Note the well-placed stainless grabs found to either side as well as numerous cup holders, special lighting, and speakers. A dining table is offered here as well as a fill-in cushion to make this space a large sunpad.

Regal LX43 extra spacious storage is found under the seat cushions.

Regal LX43 anchor locker with handy wash down hose

Fully forward is the anchor locker with handy wash down hose at the ready. Note how the hinged lid lies flat when in the open position.

Helm & Cockpit

Access to and from the bow is via a single walk-thru located to port. This design, as we will see, allows the helm and cockpit areas to take full advantage of the Regal LX43’s 13’2” beam in this part of the boat.

Regal LX43 helm area with large windows and open sunroof

Both the window section to port, and door below, open to allow access to and from the bow area. Note the wide open and airy feeling here with surrounding large windows and the open sunroof. The sliding door to port of the console is for access to the living accommodations below.

Regal LX43 starboard helm with large bolstered, three person bench

The starboard helm offers a large bolstered, three person bench, which lowers and raises, with plenty of room between the console and the seats. That easy-to-open lid to port on the console is a freezer box for cold drinks. The stainless wheel is adjustable and those large window to either side, open and close with a touch of a button.

Regal LX43 control center with a trio of 22" Garmin touchscreens

The control center of the Regal LX43 is masterfully designed for optimum command over all systems. A trio of 22” Garmin touchscreens present all the information covering all the systems aboard. Throttles and joystick are to starboard and within easy reach as are all other console digital switches and controls including bow thruster, Fusion stereo, and magnetic phone charger.

Regal LX43 Garmin control touchscreen

The control touch screen, which can be positioned to the left, right, or center on the display, is quite intuitive and with a not too steep learning curve, allows the operator to get comfortable with its many operations.

Regal LX43 Garmin control pad

This Garmin control pad, located just to starboard of the driver's seat, allows control over all three screens including operating the opening and closing of the windows and sunroof, controlling the air conditioning and music, as well as the aft terraces.

Regal LX43 helm seating and additional seating includes lounge to port and cockpit bench to starboard

Besides the helm seats, additional seating here includes this lounge to port and cockpit bench to starboard. Note how the helm seat is hinged so it can pivot aft by simply pulling on the back rests. That starboard aft bench is also hinged and can easily be reversed for watching the action behind the boat. And from stern to bow, the deck is designed as a single level.

Regal LX43 al fresco dining area

In placing the forward bench aft, and with the addition of this beautifully finished table, it easily transforms this space into an al fresco dining area for at least six.

Aft Section

A lot of thought went into designing and outfitting the aft section of the Regal LX43 with all of it going towards maximizing entertainment space in addition to offering the fishing oriented owners an option for enhancing their time going for tight lines.

A Word About Performance

Our walkthrough Regal LX43 was equipped with a pair of 600-hp Mercury outboards and runs on the company’s OceanTrac2 hull, which they have designed to allow for outstanding handling even in challenging offshore conditions.

Regal reported that during their test runs on the same vessel with dual 600-hp Mercury V12 outboard engines, at 6,350 rpm, a top speed of 52.1 mph/45.3 kts was achieved, burning a total of 109 gph. At 5,000 rpm, she turned in a 39.6 mph/34.3 kts, and at 4,000 rpm, she posted an impressive and comfortable 29.4 mph/25.5 kts.
