Fleming Yachts 65:

Passagemaker From a Seasoned Captain

fleming-65-051820.jpg

Fleming Yachts 65

One of the many advantages of owning a Fleming Yacht is that company founder Tony Fleming is among the most hands-on executives in the industry. He has cruised more than 60,000 miles on a Fleming 65, traveling from La Paz, Mexico to Juneau, Alaska, back down to the Sea of Cortez to the Galapagos Islands, through the Panama Canal and up the East Coast, and extensively around the U.K and the North Sea. He has designed this motoryacht to be a safe, comfortable long-range cruiser. A customer can be assured that if he has question about a feature or system on the 65, Fleming can answer it. More...

Everglades 253CC:

Fully Equipped Center Console

everglades-253cc-051820.png

Everglades 253CC

Everglades says the 253CC is more of a hybrid than a typical center console. This premium boat with 20 degrees deadrise at the transom has a draft of 16” (40.64 cm) and is able to fish the shallows. Equipment highlights include folding aft jump seats that latch closed and a hardtop with supports integrated smoothly into the console. This saves deck space and doubles as the frame for the windshield and side windows. The rigging is among the cleanest we’ve seen. Perhaps most important, the boat is unsinkable. More...

Riviera 395 SUV:

Easily Managed Express Yacht

riviera-395suv-051820.png

CZone gives owners total control of the 395 SUV from the helm or an iPad.

Digital switching is not necessarily something we expect to find on an express yacht under 50’ (15.24 m), but Riviera uses it on its 395 SUV and has been installing CZone systems on all its boats as standard equipment for more than a decade. The reason why is simple. It makes it easier to manage the yacht’s electrical operations — and, according to ABYC guru, Ed Sherman, makes the electrical system more reliable, as well. There’s a 5” (12.7 cm) screen at the helm and systems can also be controlled by an iPad, as seen above. The touchscreens let the user control lights, tank levels, air conditioning, the generator, batteries, etc. More...

Boston Whaler 405 Conquest:

Designed w/Customer Feedback

bostonwhaler-405conquest-051820.png

The 405 is the first Conquest model with a hullside door.

After customers told Boston Whaler they wanted a hullside door, the company made sure it designed one into its new 405 Conquest. It was one of many suggestions owners of previous models made when the manufacturer asked what they wanted in a 40’ (12.19 m) crossover boat. Two others were a private cabin in the bow and a separate shower stall, something not often found in a boat in the size or category of the 405 Conquest. Other features on the 405 Conquest include a spacious cockpit for angling or entertaining, convertible cockpit seating, predictable handling and a solid ride. And, of course, she won’t sink. More...

Pontoon boats continue to be one of the most popular categories of boat on the water. They can accommodate a crowd comfortably and have evolved into do-everything family boats. Those equipped with triple pontoons and/or lifting strakes can plane and tow watersports. There’s nothing like being at the helm of a pontoon boat and watching the look on a runabout driver’s face when he’s being passed. VirtualBOATSHOW.com has more than 140 Pontoon boats on display. BoattestLEASING:

Making New, Premium Boats Affordable

robalo-r302.png

Robalo R302

BoattestLEASING makes boating affordable to thousands of would-be boaters by leasing unused days in an owned boat and making them available for a low down-payment and low monthly payment. Essentially, the cost of ownership is spread over a number of boaters, and everyone wins: The boat owner who leases unused days receives income to defray his costs, the lessee receives use of a premium boat for far less than it would cost to rent or charter the same boat. To find out more, contact General Manager Greg Sweeney at 727-200-3474 or [email protected].

Boating Access

San Diego Reopens Recreational Boating

san-diego-port.png

With 10 lanes, the ramp at Shelter Island is one of two open in San Diego that make it easy to practice social distancing.

The Port of San Diego opened earlier this month with a gradual phase-in process. Each vessel on the water will only be allowed to have members of the same household on board. Recreational boating, kayaking and paddleboarding are now allowed and the launch ramps at National City and Shelter Island are open. The Chula Vista ramp remains closed.
