Siren Marine’s MTC, the heart of the monitoring system, and the mobile app.

Siren Marine’s Connected Boat monitoring system keeps an eye on the position of a vessel as well as individual systems including bilge pumps, fluid levels, battery state and more. jeanneau-leader10.5-041320.png

The Jeanneau Leader 10.5.

To make the flagship of its Leader fleet more appealing, French builder Jeanneau is making sure that U.S. consumers can get the features they want. Yankee consumers want refrigeration, air conditioning and equipment that make a boat easier to operate and Jeanneau makes available a cockpit galley with a refrigerator, plus more cold storage belowdecks. Also in the cabin, a separate shower stall, a rarity on a 34’6” (10.51 m) boat, is an option. For easier operation, she’s available with a bow thruster, Zip Wake trim deflectors, and a Garmin multifunction display. More...

Ilmor Marine’s 435-hp V-8 engine and the company’s stern drive are a potent package in the 270 Bowrider.

For the better part of the past decade, Formula Boats has enjoyed a partnership with engine builder Ilmor Marine. The Formula 270 Bowrider can be paired with a 435-hp General Motors V-8 engine that is based on the same motor found in the Chevrolet Corvette and Camaro. It’s a lightweight package with closed cooling and service points located for easy maintenance. The engine is paired with Ilmor’s One Drive that uses hydraulic shifting instead of the traditional cone clutch – no clunk. Best of all, the power package has a 5-year warranty. This warranty fits in perfectly with Formula’s 5-year warranty – one of the best in the industry. More...

Evinrude Digital Tiller:

Power Steering for E-TEC Outboards

evinrude-digitaltiller-041320.png

The digital tiller is designed exclusively for Evinrude’s 3-cylinder series of E-TEC G2 outboards.

Evinrude’s all-digital tiller handle is a high-tech, easy-to-run control designed for the manufacturer’s line of 115 to 140-hp outboards. It can be installed offset 20 degrees to port or starboard for left- or righthand operation. There are many features on the unit, but the most important is the power steering that takes out the prodigious torque created at speed by a high horsepower engine. We have tested the unit and you can see the video as the captain handles the tiller with two fingers at cruise speeds. More...
