Lekker Damsko 750:
All-Purpose Aluminum Tender
The Lekker Damsko 750 is based on a Dutch “sloep” design, which is a classic open boat that has been used as a launch, tender or utility vessel for centuries. Lekker modernized it with all aluminum construction and a MerCruiser diesel engine packaged with a Bravo Three duo-prop drive. The company says the boat can run 42 knots and carry up to 25 people. She has a sharp entry forward that transitions to a flatter running surface aft. Extended stern platforms act as fixed trim tabs to help the bow drop quickly under acceleration and provide stability when the boat is running at speed. The Damsko 750 is available in Open, Semi-Open and Cabin models. She makes an ideal yacht club tender that can also double as a work boat on the racecourse to set marks and conduct other race committee chores. More...

It’s the M93D and it just might be the most capable handheld on the market. It includes the regular cast of features for a VHF, but it also includes an integrated GPS. Users can add up to 50 waypoints and navigate to them. Even more important is now the emergency DSC button transmits your exact position. It’s an extremely capable unit, and we’re giving one away to one lucky BoatTEST subscriber. The drawing is on April 27.

Greenline 48 Fly:
Efficient Hybrid Propulsion
At the heart of the electro-diesel propulsion system on the Greenline 48 yacht are the 14 kW Mahle Powertrain Hybrid drives between the diesel engines and the transmissions. When the diesel engines are engaged, the Mahle units act as electric generators that produce 20 kW of electrical power to run all the onboard systems. Excess electrical power is stored in three Metron Lithium Polymer 56-volt batteries. Switch to electrical operation and the batteries power the hybrid drives as the generators become electric motors that propel the boat. The diesel engines, solar panels and shorepower can all be used to re-charge the batteries. More...

Yamaha AR195:
Small Changes Reap Big Benefits
When Yamaha re-designed its AR195 jetboat, it added 3” (7.62 cm) of length and 2” (5.08 cm) of width to the cockpit, but the overall impression is that she feels much larger than its overall length of 19’5” (7.01 m) and 8’2” (2.49 m) beam. Cockpit lounges are 7” (17.78) longer than in the previous edition and there’s space for a table with a cooler underneath. Passage to the bow remains obstruction-free and the forward seating area is 5’ (1.52) wide because Yamaha carries that beam farther forward. On the water, the new bottom gets on plane with minimal bow rise. More...
