Ranger Tugs R-25:

Bottom Enhanced to Improve Handling

ranger-r-25-020821.jpg

Ranger Tugs R-25

In the running surface of the Ranger Tugs R-25, the company employs Laminar Flow Interrupters between boat’s strakes. Sea Ray SDX 270

The Sea Ray SDX 270 is one of the builder’s largest deck boats at 27’2” (8.28 m) and she can carry an actual boatload of guests. More importantly, Sea Ray was smart to keep her beam at 8’6” (2.59 m), which means she can be towed without a permit. For boaters who like to explore different bodies of water, this is an attractive attribute. From her large swim platform to her spacious bow, all gathering areas are on the same level. More...

Imtra Side-Power Stabilizers:

Curved for Efficiency

imtra-stabilizers.jpg

Imtra Side-Power Stabilizers

Side-Power’s Vector Fin stabilizers are curved upward between 36 and 53 degrees compared to traditional straight stabilizer fins. Typically, fins work best on a boat with longer roll periods and the larger the boat, the longer she takes to roll. The curve angle of the Vector Fins, plus a boat’s deadrise, combine to direct the stabilizing force more vertically. IMTRA says this is more effective at preventing roll. But is it really? More...
