Swim Platform / Outdoor Kitchen

A generously sized swim platform surrounds the twin Mercury engines. Just forward is an outdoor kitchen — described by Captain Tripp as likely a popular gathering spot — with an electric grill/cutting station, cup holders, a trash can, and a sink underneath.

Storage: Room for fenders and lines, described as ample space, currently housing drink lines and related items.

Utility connections: Shore power connection and a diesel fill. Captain Tripp clarified: "Those aren't diesel engines, but there is a diesel nine kilowatt generator on board." His stated preference for this fuel choice: "I like how they opted for that diesel fuel for the generator. That's a little bit of a safer... move by NX."

Overhead / Cockpit Entry

A retractable electric awning is fitted at the back of the hardtop for additional shade. Two steps lead up into the cockpit.

Trash can placement: Located just forward of cockpit entry, draining into the engine room. Captain Tripp's stated rationale: "That's kind of nice because now all those smells and things that are unsightly with a trash can, they're hidden. They're not in the cabin and they're easy to access through the hatch."

Cockpit Seating

Two L-shaped seating sections encompassing the space. Captain Tripp's assessment of the openness of the layout: "I noticed that a lot of boats, you're kind of confined to certain areas. You can sit wherever you want on this boat."

Features:

Hardtop

Electric, push-button operated, opening/closing all the way down to the windshield line. Captain Tripp noted this while seated at the helm as the source of airflow into the cockpit.

Bow Access

With the windshield opened, access to the bow is described as easy. The bow rail is a comfortable height, intended to keep occupants secure while cruising slowly. Fold-down sections allow fender storage at deck level. Two JBL speakers extend sound to the bow, along with courtesy lighting.

Anchor System (Bow)

Complete with a quick windlass, cleat controls, and a washdown for cleaning a muddy anchor/rode before bringing it aboard.

Bow Sun Pad

Captain Tripp specifically praised the backrest design here, noting he hadn't yet sat in it at the time of filming but was impressed by its appearance: "I think one thing I really like about this boat is this sun pad, but really the backrest on it... it just looks really good because this is a proper backrest. I'm impressed. I wish more boats included [a] feature like this."

Cabin — Layout Overview

Captain Tripp identified this as a two-cabin layout, noting its significance within the NX product line: "As you are going through NX's line of boats and going up in size, this is the first size you're gonna find that gives you that two private cabin layout[s]."

Salon area: A lounging spot on the port side with a TV.

Galley (across from lounge): Refrigerator with a clear front (visible contents), drawers, sink, small electric stovetop, microwave, and overhead storage.

Forward Cabin

Captain Tripp characterized this space more precisely: "I think I would call this more of a private berth than a private cabin, but it is private nonetheless."

Berth dimensions: Approximately 5 feet, 8 inches in length (noted as "a little bit short") and 5 feet wide.

Head

Captain Tripp's assessment: "I was pleasantly surprised when I first took a look at the head on this boat. It's a good usable size. It's not a wet head." Includes a dedicated shower with a seat, described as well-finished with plenty of elbow room. A glazed overhead skylight provides natural light. Also includes a toilet, sink with storage underneath and overhead, and a hull side window with a vent for ventilation.

Aft Cabin (Berth Comparison)

Captain Tripp stated a personal preference for sleeping here over the forward berth, citing size: "If I were spending the night on this boat, I think I would prefer the aft cabin for sleeping because the berth is a bit larger."

Dimensions: Approximately 6 feet in length and nearly as wide; overhead clearance when sitting up on the berth measured at 37 inches.

Additional features: Storage at the foot of the bed, a small bench near the entry offering standing-room height (suited to changing clothes), plus a small mirror and storage above.
