Sea Ray SLX 350:

Big Muscle in a Quiet Dayboat

searay-slx350-051120.png

Sea Ray SLX 350

With so many manufacturers focusing on outboards, when Sea Ray redesigned the SLX 350, the company chose to power the boat with twin big-block sterndrives with Bravo 3 twin-prop drives. This provides the open stern and swim platform that freshwater boaters covet. In keeping with the industry’s current trend of making boating easier, the SLX 350 is available with an automatic trim system called the Dynamic Running Surface. To reduce noise and vibration as much as possible, Sea Ray’s Quiet Ride technology “tunes” the boat’s transom to dampen sound, something that BoatTEST has verified. The company says the result is a 10 decibel drop in noise, which we found to be true. More...

Cruisers Yachts 54 Fly:

Flybridge Yacht w/Entertainment Venues

Cruisers Yachts 54 Fly

The 54 Fly from Cruisers Yachts takes the inviting salon and cockpit from the company’s express-style 54 Cantius sistership and enhances the entertainment options by adding the flying bridge. The view from the upper helm is nearly unobstructed and the aft lounge wraps around a table. There is also a flying bridge wetbar with a sink, refrigerator and grill. Cruisers followed the lead of many European builders and designed the 54 Fly with a low top-hamper to maintain a sleeker appearance. Belowdecks, she has a full-beam master and VIP quarters in the bow, both of which have 6’6” (2.01 m) of headroom. More...

Regal 26 OBX:

Designed for Watersports and a Crowd

regal-26obx-051120.png

The Regal 26 OBX’s Aft Ultralounge offers numerous options for relaxing.

Regal Marine’s 26 OBX offers the versatility that families demand in a deckboat. Let’s start with the Aft Ultralounge. It has a backrest that can be set to face fore or aft and it can flatten fully to create a large sunpad. Aft, large port and starboard swim platforms extend past the outboard to aid launching watersports, and there’s space to pass between the engine and the transom. In the cockpit, seating wraps from the aft bench forward to port console, creating a long lounge. Forward, the boat’s beam is carried into the bow, creating a wider, more usable area, typical of deck boats. More...

Sea-Doo GTX Limited 300:

Full-Featured PWC

Sea-Doo GTX Limited 300

One of the biggest advantages that runabouts have over personal watercraft is the space at the stern, but Sea-Doo took care of that with the GTX Limited 300. It has one of the longest swim platforms in class and the aft section of the seat can be removed to create even more space. On the platform, the Rear Cargo LinQ System can carry a gas can, cooler or a dry bag and they all lock in place. Like all Sea-Doos, it also comes with the company’s Intelligent Brake and Reverse and adjustable trim system. More...

Auto-Routing Examined:

2 Systems Tested

Renewable energy sources have now surpassed coal as a source of power in the U.S., and the result can often be new obstacles on the water.

Car navigation has never been so easy since the invention of GPS systems. It’s so simple, just feed in the zip code and the system knows where you are, where you want to go, and it comes up with a suitable route. Why not do the same with our chartplotters? Out at sea, things are not quite so simple. More...

Boston Whaler 285 Conquest

BoattestLEASING is now looking for late-model, premium boats from 26’ to 35’ (7.92 m to 10.66 m) to lease to like-minded boaters in the eastern U.S. Boat Leasing is now trending strongly, given the times we live in. Boats are a safe and healthy way for a family to have fun outside and at the same time maintain social distancing. By leasing unused days in a boat, owners are utilizing a valuable asset for a financial return on the investment. BoatTEST’s leasing program helps boat owners pay down their boat loan, as well as to cover a portion of annual operating costs.
