New Boat Tests
Formula 457 CCS (2024-)
Formula's latest boat was introduced at the Miami Boat Show. After, Capt. Shelley and Capt. Trip gave her a morning-night shakedown cruise. She's an all-American dayboat with triple Mercury 600-hp outboards to whisk an extended family from Miami to Nassau for lunch. Why not go to an Abacos or Eleuthera resort for dinner and a long weekend? This vessel can do almost anything — take a look and see.
Yamaha VX Cruiser HO (2024-)
Testing the Yamaha VX Cruiser HO in the dead of winter was not only a thrilling experience, but also a chilling one. The new 1.9 L Yamaha 16-valve engine lived up to expectations for high-output performance. But at the dock, she was a pussy cat with Yamaha's intuitive forward and reverse system. See it in action!
Riviera 585 SUV (2023-)
The 585 SUV is the latest model in the growing SUV range from Australian luxury boat builder Riviera. The Riviera SUV Collection combines the offshore performance and open cockpit of a flybridge with the one level living of a sport yacht.
Tiara EX 54 (2024-)
2024 marks Tiara's 50th anniversary. The experience and expertise built over half a decade shows through in the new Tiara EX54. The EX54 is well thought out and solidly constructed. Configurable salon and deck spaces, which Tiara refers to as "flexible luxury" allow for a multiple-purpose cruising or entertaining platform. The three stateroom configuration provides ample space for longer cruising. All of this combined with the performance of the twin Volvo Penta IPS2 950s power the yacht to a 30-mph cruise speed. The Tiara EX54 is a head-turner and worth a look by anyone seeking a boat in this class.
Aquila 47 Molokai (2024-)
With a 14’7” (4.44 m) beam, the 47 Molokai has the cockpit space of a big sport fisherman, but with outboard power, she’s much faster and more capable of shallow water explorations. She also doubles as a luxurious dayboat/weekender with a large bed below and head. Party anyone?
Solara S-250 DC (2024-)
The Solara S-250 Dual Console is designed to be a comfortable and affordable boat for the whole family to enjoy virtually all watersports. She’s powered by a single Yamaha 300-hp engine, has an 8’6” (2.59 m) beam, and draws just 19” (48 cm) with the outboard up. She comes standard with a Fusion Stereo, marine toilet with holding tank and macerator, hardtop, ground tackle, ski pylon, electric windlass, underwater lights, bow beach ladder, livewell, fish box, transom shower, Garmin MFD, autopilot, GPS, sonar, VHF, inverter, and virtually everything else you need for turnkey operation. There are just 6 items on the options list.
